1. Introduction

Prakriti Darshan – International Journal of Environment Science and Multidisciplinary Studies (PDIJEMDS) upholds the highest standards of peer-reviewed academic publishing. Reviewers play a critical role in maintaining the quality, originality, and scientific integrity of the journal. This document outlines the responsibilities, expectations, and ethical considerations for reviewers.

 

2. Purpose of Peer Review

  • To ensure academic rigor and integrity of the published research.
  • To provide constructive feedback for manuscript improvement.
  • To help the editor make an informed decision regarding publication.

 

3. Reviewer Responsibilities

3.1 Confidentiality

  • All manuscripts must be treated as confidential documents.
  • Do not share or discuss the manuscript with others without permission from the editorial board.

3.2 Objectivity

  • Provide unbiased, constructive, and detailed feedback.
  • Avoid personal criticism of the author(s).

3.3 Timeliness

  • Complete reviews within the stipulated time (usually 2–3 weeks).
  • If you are unable to meet the deadline, inform the editor promptly.

3.4 Conflict of Interest

  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest (e.g., personal, financial, institutional).
  • If conflicted, decline to review the manuscript.

 

4. Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers are requested to assess the following aspects of the manuscript:

4.1 Originality and Relevance

  • Is the topic novel and aligned with the scope of the journal?
  • Does the research address a significant issue or gap?

4.2 Scientific Quality

  • Are the objectives, methods, and results clearly presented?
  • Are the conclusions supported by the data?

4.3 Clarity and Structure

  • Is the manuscript well-organized and clearly written?
  • Are tables, figures, and references appropriate and accurate?

4.4 Ethical Standards

  • Are ethical guidelines followed (e.g., animal/human subject use, plagiarism)?

5. Review Process

5.1 Recommendation Categories

Reviewers should recommend one of the following:

  • Accept – Suitable for publication with minimal or no changes.
  • Minor Revision – Requires minor changes before acceptance.
  • Major Revision – Needs significant changes and re-evaluation.
  • Reject – Does not meet the journal’s standards or is outside scope.

5.2 Reviewer Comments
