Guideline:

1. Submission Overview & Checklist

Authors are required to ensure their submission complies with the following before submission:

  • Manuscript is original and not under review elsewhere
  • File is in MS Word (.doc/.docx)
  • Title page, main text, figures/tables are formatted correctly
  • Text uses 12‑pt Times New Roman, single line‑spacing
  • Manuscript is anonymized for double‑blind review (no author identifiers in text or metadata)
  • Cover letter, Author Declaration, and Copyright Transfer forms included

 

2. Authorship & Responsibility

All listed authors must meet the following four criteria (adapted from ICMJE):

  1. Substantial contributions to conception/design or data analysis
  2. Drafting or critical revision for key intellectual content
  3. Final approval of the version to be published
  4. Accountability for integrity and accuracy of the work

 

3. Types of Manuscripts

Accepted submission types:

  • Original Research Articles (3,000–6,000 words): structured abstract (Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusions), main sections (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion)
  • Review Articles (4,000–8,000 words): may be unstructured abstract, comprehensive survey of literature
  • Short Communications / Case Studies (1,500–3,000 words): concise reporting of new insights or observations
  • Opinion / Editorials (1,000–2,500 words): commentary on emerging topics or environmental challenges
  • Book Reviews / Conference Reports (≤1,500 words)

Include structured abstracts, keywords (4–6), and consistent formatting across manuscript types.

 

4. Formatting & Structure

Title Page

  • Article title (concise & informative)
  • All author names, affiliations, Author IDs, and emails
  • Designated corresponding author with full contact details
  • Word counts (text and abstract), running title, funding disclosures, conflict of interest, author contributions

Abstract & Keywords

  • Original & Review: 150–250 words, structured
  • Short Communication / Case Study: 100–150 words, unstructured
  • Keywords: 4–6 appropriate terms, ideally aligned with widely used indexing terms

Main Text

  • Suggested headings: Introduction; Materials & Methods; Results; Discussion; Conclusion
  • Tables and figures placed near first citation or appended at end
  • Ethical approval statements where applicable (human subjects, animal use)

 

5. Figures & Tables

  • Number figures/tables sequentially
  • Provide clear titles and legends
  • Figures should be high-resolution (≥300 dpi), submitted in JPG or PNG format
  • Tables made using Word’s table format, not embedded as images
  • Attribute or obtain permission for reuse of third-party content

 

Citations & References

  • Use consistent style (APA, Harvard, IEEE, or NLM Vancouver)
  • In-text citations should match numbered reference list
  • Cite appropriate literature; avoid citation manipulation or excess self-citation

 

7. Peer Review Process & Revisions

  • Manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review
  • Minor revisions expected within 7–15 days; major revisions within 8 weeks
  • Appeal process available for rejected manuscripts (subject “appeal”) with point-by-point responses

 

8. Ethical & Reporting Standards

  • Adhere to research ethical norms (informed consent, IACUC approval, etc.)
  • Systematic reviews should follow PRISMA; clinical trials must include trial registration in abstract
  • Follow SAGER guidelines for reporting sex and gender where relevant

 

9. Author Contributions

  • Include a section using the Credit taxonomy (e.g., conceptualization, methodology, writing, analysis, etc.)
  • Each author’s role must be clearly specified

 

10. Publication Charges & Copyright

  • Currently no article processing charges
  • Authors retain copyright; published under Creative Commons Attribution‑Non Commercial 4.0 (CC BY‑NC 4.0)
  • Authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute their work

 

11. Cover Letter Requirements

Must include:

  • Relevance and originality of the work
  • Statement confirming exclusive submission
  • Disclosure of prior related submissions or publications
  • All authors’ agreement with licensing terms and ethical compliance
  • Details of any AI assistance used in manuscript preparation
