Peer Review Process

At Prakriti Darshan, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic excellence and research integrity. To achieve this, every article submitted for publication undergoes a structured and rigorous peer review process.

Our peer review system is designed to ensure that only high-quality, original, and impactful research is published.

Overview of the Peer Review Process

1. Initial Screening (Desk Review)
Upon submission, the editorial team conducts a preliminary review of the manuscript to check for:

  • Relevance to the journal's focus areas (Environment Science and Multidisciplinary Studies).
  • Compliance with the journal's formatting and submission guidelines.
  • Plagiarism check to ensure originality.
  • Basic quality of language, structure, and references.

Manuscripts that do not meet the basic standards may be rejected at this stage without external review.

2. Assignment to Reviewers

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to two independent peer reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
Reviewers are selected carefully based on their expertise, experience, and lack of conflict of interest.

3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Prakriti Darshan follows a double-blind peer review system, where:

  • Authors do not know the identity of reviewers.
  • Reviewers do not know the identity of authors.

This ensures fairness, impartiality, and an unbiased evaluation.

4. Evaluation Criteria
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and novelty of the research.
  • Scientific accuracy and methodological soundness.
  • Clarity of objectives, results, and conclusions.
  • Relevance and significance to the field.
  • Proper citation of previous work.
  • Ethical considerations.

5. Reviewer's Recommendation
After detailed evaluation, reviewers submit their recommendation, which may be:

  • Accept without changes.
  • Accept with minor revisions.
  • Accept with major revisions (resubmission required).

6. Decision by Editorial Board
Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editorial board makes the final decision:

  • If revisions are required, authors are given an opportunity to revise and resubmit.
  • Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for re-evaluation.
  • The editorial board reserves the right to make the final decision even if reviewers have recommended acceptance or rejection.

7. Communication of Decision
Authors will receive detailed feedback and the final decision via email. If revisions are requested, clear guidelines will be provided.

8. Final Proof and Publication
Once accepted, the final version of the manuscript is proofread and formatted for publication. Authors are requested to review the proof before final publication.

Ethical Responsibility

  • Confidentiality: All manuscripts under review are treated as confidential documents.
  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves if necessary.
  • Timeliness: Reviewers are expected to complete their reviews within the stipulated time to ensure timely publication.

The peer review process at Prakriti Darshan is designed to:

  • Uphold academic integrity.
  • Ensure the dissemination of trustworthy, high-quality research.
  • Foster a transparent, constructive, and respectful review culture.
